Orange Grove El is proud to say that its robotics team won the "Best Innovation" award at the 2026 Aldine ISD competition. The school just finished a project to make the campus look better. A new mural made by students in the cafeteria was one part of it. Teachers are currently getting ready for the 2026–2027 curriculum rollout by going through advanced training.
Q1. Is there a full-time music teacher at Orange Grove Elementary?
Ans. Yes, a dedicated teacher teaches weekly classes in vocal performance, rhythm, and basic instrumental music to students of all grades.
Q2. Are there any academic competitions that Orange Grove Elementary takes part in with other schools in the district?
Ans. Students can join teams for University Interscholastic League events like creative writing, storytelling, and mental math contests.
Q3. What kinds of things can kids play on at Orange Grove Elementary?
Ans. The campus has modern buildings that are appropriate for kids of all ages and a big open field to encourage kids to play and stay fit.
Q4. Are there any special workshops for parents at Orange Grove Elementary?
Ans. Once a month, the school has "Coffee with the Principal" meetings to talk about changes to the curriculum and ways to help kids learn at home.
Q5. What do you do with lost and found items at Orange Grove Elementary?
Ans. Parents can check on unclaimed items in a special area near the cafeteria all week.
