North Forest El's state proficiency scores went up a lot this year, so the school had a party to celebrate being a "rapidly improving" campus. In 2026, the school will use new methods of teaching that focus on helping and teaching each student the best way every day. Parents are very happy that the school is working harder to keep kids safe and teach them the basics.

Ans. Yes, North Forest El is a NES campus that focuses on daily intensive instruction to help students learn quickly.

Ans. The Bulldog is the North Forest El mascot. It stands for the strength and determination of the whole school community in academics.
Q3. Is there a fine arts program at North Forest El after school?
Ans. North Forest El offers after-school enrichment in music and the visual arts to help students express themselves creatively while also learning important academic skills.
Q4. How often does North Forest El practice safety?
Ans. North Forest El does regular fire, lockdown, and shelter-in-place drills to make sure that students and staff are ready for emergencies.
Q5. Is there a mobile app that North Forest El parents can use to see their kids' grades?
Ans. Parents can use the HISD Connect app on any device to keep an eye on their child's schoolwork, attendance, and notifications from the district.
