In 2026, Lowery El will go to the district's "Salute to the Stars" gala to honor the Teacher of the Year for doing such a great job. The campus recently helped with the Superintendent's Fun Run, which raised $95,000 for student scholarships. The students are also working on "Tiger Tales" projects that make them proud of their community and want to learn more about it.
Q1. Is there a "Character Education" program at Lowery El that is used by all of the schools?
Ans. Lowery El teaches students the six pillars of character, such as fairness and citizenship, through the "Character Counts" program.
Q2. What animal is the Lowery El student body mascot?
Ans. The Roadrunner is the Lowery El mascot. It stands for the students' energy and quick progress toward their academic goals.
Q3. Does Lowery El have a "Field Day" for students every year?
Ans. Yes, Lowery El hosts a big spring Field Day with team sports, relays, and outdoor games for all grades.
Q4. What kinds of technology are in the classrooms at Lowery El?
Ans. Every Lowery El classroom has a "Smart Board" and a set of laptops for each student to use for digital learning.
Q5. Does Lowery El have a "Science Olympiad" team for kids?
Ans. Lowery El has a competitive Science Olympiad team where students learn about advanced scientific ideas and compete against other schools in the area.
