Leonel Castillo STEM Academy is still the best place for kids to learn science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) because it does it in a way that other schools don't. People have said good things about the school's interactive learning spaces, which get kids interested in technology at an early age. Right now, the staff is getting ready for the 2026–2027 school year. The goal is to help more families in the Northside area.
Q1. What specific STEM subjects does Leonel Castillo teach?
Ans. Every day, Leonel Castillo teaches young children about engineering and robotics through fun, hands-on play and creative building projects that are appropriate for their age.
Q2. Is there a "Junior Scientist" program at Leonel Castillo?
Ans. Yes, the "Junior Scientist" program at Leonel Castillo helps students learn about the natural world by having them do guided experiments on campus.
Q3. How does Castillo use technology to help young kids learn?
Ans. Leonel Castillo uses touch-screen tablets and interactive floor projectors to help young students learn how to use technology and solve problems.
Q4. Are there "STEM Labs" outside on the Leonel Castillo campus?
Ans. Leonel Castillo has an outdoor learning courtyard where students learn about physics by playing with water and exploring simple machines.
Q5. Does Leonel Castillo help students in the Northside area get to school?
Ans. Leonel Castillo provides bus service for students who live in the Houston ISD Northside attendance zone and are eligible to ride.
