By the end of 2025, the Houston ISD system had shut down all of its schools that got a F rating. So, this system is "rapidly improving." One of these campuses is Kelso El. The school's top goals for 2025–2026 are to hire more staff and make the learning environment safer and more caring. They are working on these goals right now.
