Being Updated
IDEA Lake Houston Academy recently celebrated getting a good grade on their schoolwork. This means that students are making a lot of progress, even though the state has higher standards. The school is now taking applications from new families for the 2026–2027 school year through a campaign called "APPLY NOW." This is to save spots for students who will come later. Teachers and staff are feeling better after recent academic successes. They are now making new support systems that are tailored to each person, like the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS).
Q1. Are students at IDEA Lake Houston Academy allowed to wear jackets that aren't part of the uniform in class?
Ans. No, students can only wear jackets, sweatshirts, and sweaters with the IDEA logo inside the school building and in classrooms.
Q2. What do younger students at IDEA Lake Houston Academy need to have in their backpacks?
Ans. Academy students can use any color or style of backpack they want, as long as it doesn't have wheels.
Q3. Can students at IDEA Lake Houston Academy wear shoes with white soles with their uniforms?
Ans. Shoes for uniforms must be all black, but small white brand logos are okay as long as they are not the main color.
Q4. If families can't afford the required school uniforms, does IDEA Lake Houston Academy help them?
Ans. Yes, the campus works directly with families who are having trouble making ends meet to make sure that all students have the right school uniforms.
Q5. When can students at IDEA Lake Houston Academy wear "out of uniform" or spirit dress-up clothes?
Ans. Students take part in Spirit Weeks, like the one in January, where each day has a different theme that lets them wear creative clothes that aren't uniforms.
