Fondren Elementary School had a great start to the 2025–2026 school year. Students and their families said the transition went well and they were looking forward to the year ahead. Seventy-five percent of students in the district now go to A- or B-rated schools because of recent improvements in teaching. This is something that is happening all over the district. Teachers are still committed to giving every child high-quality basic reading and math support so that they are always pushed and supported.
Q1. Is there a specific school mascot for the students at Fondren Elementary?
Ans. The Phoenix is the official school mascot. It stands for the strength and rising academic success of every urban scholar.
Q2. What are the exact steps that car riders at Fondren Elementary need to take to get there?
Ans. Parents must use the designated circular drive on Carlsbad Street starting at 7.00 AM to safely drop off their kids.
Q3. Does Fondren Elementary have a nurse on staff to take care of students' medical needs?
Ans. Every day, a licensed registered nurse is on hand to give students their medications and basic first aid and health care.
Q4. Does Fondren Elementary have a rule that all students must wear uniforms?
Ans. Every day, students must wear a solid-colored polo shirt and khaki or navy blue uniform bottoms.
Q5. What are the ways that parents can help out with activities at Fondren Elementary?
