Elrod Elementary recently showed how much it cares about STEM education by letting students from all grades work together to solve engineering problems. The school is proud of its culture of excellence and leadership, and every month it gives awards to students who go above and beyond what is expected of them. Staff members are always learning new things so they can use the most up-to-date ways of teaching to help students do well.
Q1. Are there any special fine arts or music classes at Elrod Elementary?
Ans. As part of a well-rounded and creative core academic curriculum, students take music and visual arts classes every week.
Q2. What is the official school mascot for students at Elrod Elementary?
Ans. The Eagle is the school mascot, and it stands for the vision and strength of the students in the local learning community.
Q3. Does Elrod Elementary require students to wear a uniform?
Ans. Students must wear solid-colored polo shirts and navy blue or khaki pants to school.
Q4. Is there a parent group or PTO at Elrod Elementary that is active?
Ans. The engaged parent organization helps the school by holding community events and raising money all year long.
Q5. How do visitors sign in at the front desk of Elrod Elementary?
Ans. Before entering the building, all visitors must scan a valid government-issued ID through the Raptor security system.
