The Texas Education Agency gave Donna Lewis Elementary a "B" rating for the 2024–2025 school year because its students did so well in school. The school just opened for the 2025–2026 school year. The school has changed its curriculum and is now working on adding more programs for young children to learn. Students are still doing better than the district average in both math and reading, thanks to the help of teachers and staff.
