Centennial Elementary recently showed how much it cares about STEM education by having all of its students work together on a series of engineering challenges. The school is proud of its culture of "kindness and leadership." It gives prizes to students who go above and beyond to help their classmates every month. The staff is always learning new things, so they always know the best ways to help students do well.
Q1. Is there a school counselor at Centennial Elementary who helps students?
Ans. A full-time, certified school counselor helps all students with their social and emotional needs and teaches them lessons on how to deal with their feelings.
Q2. What is the official school mascot for Centennial Elementary?
Ans. The official mascot is the Stallion, which stands for the students' energy and academic spirit in the district.
Q3. Does Centennial Elementary have any special programs for learning technology or coding?
Ans. Every week, students take part in technology rotations where they learn how to be good digital citizens and how to use computers and software.
Q4. Are there any special chances for students to be leaders at Centennial Elementary?
Ans. Students in fourth and fifth grades can join the student council to learn how to be leaders and plan events on campus.
Q5. Does Centennial Elementary have after-school care on site?
Ans. Community partnerships provide on-site after-school care to help families who need extra hours of supervision for their students every day.
