Bussey Elementary was happy to name Ms. Shawntel Davis the Teacher of the Year for 2025–2026 because she did such a great job. The school and the University of Houston-Downtown worked together to make the Bilingual E-Library, which families can use. This made its reading and writing materials even better. Kathleen Scott, the principal, was also named Aldine ISD Elementary Principal of the Year for her 36 years of hard work to make schools better.
