Beneke Elementary is celebrating a year of big improvements in reading and math for its students thanks to its new data-driven teaching methods. The school recently held a number of events for the community to celebrate the students' achievements and bring parents and teachers closer together. Teachers are still committed to giving each student the best education they can so that they are ready for the academic challenges of middle school.
Q1. Has the fine arts department at Beneke El recently received any state-level awards for being a great school?
Ans. The Texas Art Education Association named Beneke El as one of the 2025 Districts of Distinction.
Q2. Do students in grades three through five get to go to Beneke El's annual science fair?
Ans. Beneke El has a Science and Engineering Fair every year where students show off their own research and creative ways to solve problems.
Q3. What kinds of counseling services are there to help Beneke El students with their social and emotional health?
Ans. Beneke El has full-time counselors who help students one-on-one, in groups, and in the classroom learn about emotional intelligence.
Q4. Are there any clubs at Beneke El that students can join to learn about gardening or the environment?
Ans. Beneke El has an environmental club where students learn about sustainability by working in the school garden.
Q5. What kinds of technology can Beneke El students use for their daily work in the classroom?
Ans. Beneke El gives each student their own Chromebook so they can learn digitally, do research projects, and use interactive educational software.
