The first "Global Discovery Day" was just held at Bane Elementary School. The school used music and art to celebrate the different cultures of its students. There is a new system of rewards for good behavior on campus, which has made students more motivated. Staff members are working closely with families to build a strong community and help students do well in school.
Q1. What specific safety measures does Bane El use to manage the morning student drop-off and afternoon dismissal?
Ans. The campus uses a staff-monitored car-rider system and designated crossing guards to keep our children safe during commutes.
Q2. Does Bane El have a bilingual education program for all grades for students who speak Spanish as their first language?
Ans. Bane El has a strong bilingual program to help Spanish-speaking students make the switch while keeping their native language.
Q3. What physical education activities are most important for Bane El students' health and well-being?
Ans. Bane El stresses daily physical activity through organized PE classes that include team sports and basic fitness conditioning exercises.
Q4. Do students at Bane El need to wear certain clothes to class this year?
Ans. Bane El has a dress code that everyone must follow to help students stay focused and feel like they are part of the school.
Q5. How does Bane El honor students who have great character and citizenship all month long?
Ans. Bane El holds award ceremonies once a month to honor students who show core values like respect and responsibility.
