Because students did so well on their recent literacy tests, Atkinson Elementary is having a great year of academic progress. The campus recently held a "Reading Under the Stars" event to get families involved and help them love books for the rest of their lives. Teachers are still committed to making sure that every student has a safe and caring place to learn that will help them do well in school in the future.
Q1. What meal programs will be available for all Atkinson El students in the 2025–2026 school year?
Ans. The federally funded Community Eligibility Provision program gives all Atkinson El students free breakfast and lunch every day.
Q2. Does Atkinson El offer special help for students with dyslexia or other reading problems?
Ans. Atkinson El helps students learn important reading skills by offering targeted reading intervention and specialized dyslexia services.
Q3. What is the school color scheme and official mascot for Atkinson El students and staff?
Ans. The Stallion is the Atkinson El mascot, and the school's official colors are mostly blue and white.
Q4. Are there any specific activities planned for the Atkinson El parent-teacher organization this spring?
Ans. The Atkinson El PTO puts on seasonal festivals and fundraisers to help pay for improvements to the campus and programs that help students learn more.
Q5. Does Atkinson El have a separate computer lab or a 1.1 device ratio for its students?
Ans. Atkinson El makes sure that students have access to technology by providing sets of devices for each classroom and a separate computer lab.
