Being Updated
The recent "International Night" at Almeda Elementary was a big hit. More than a dozen different cultures brought food, music, and traditions. Students are more motivated to do well because of the school's new "Eagle Pride" system for rewarding good behavior. Teachers are still committed to giving their students a good education that will help them deal with the problems of living in a global society.
Q1. Does Almeda El have a program where students learn in two languages?
Ans. The school has a bilingual program that lets students learn both English and Spanish at the same time.
Q2. What is Almeda El's mascot?
Ans. The Eagle is the school's mascot. It stands for the strength and soaring academic potential of all the students on campus.
Q3. Does Almeda El have any clubs for coding or STEM?
Ans. Students can join the technology club after school to learn how to program computers and take on engineering challenges.
Q4. What does Almeda El do to help students' mental health?
Ans. A full-time counselor gives each student one-on-one help and teaches them in class about emotional health and how to interact with others in a positive way.
Q5. Is there a summer reading challenge at Almeda El?
Ans. To help students keep up their reading skills, the librarian sets up a summer reading program with prizes.
