This year is a big one for Rancho Sienna Elementary. They have more students than ever and their "STEAM Innovators" lab is up and running. The school recently got a grant to grow its robotics program, which will let 4th and 5th graders compete in regional competitions. The district also praised the campus for how many parents volunteered during the recent spring book fair.
Q1. Does Rancho Sienna El have a garden or outdoor classroom that is used?
Ans. There is a learning garden on campus where students can learn about life cycles and environmental science in a hands-on way.
Q2. What are the rules about using cell phones at Rancho Sienna El?
Ans. To keep kids from being distracted during the school day, personal devices must stay off and be kept in backpacks.
Q3. Are there any introductory classes for world languages at Rancho Sienna El?
Ans. Through integrated lessons that happen every week, students learn basic Spanish words and cultural traditions.
Q4. What do the safety drills look like at Rancho Sienna El?
Ans. The school does fire, lockdown, and severe weather drills on a regular basis to make sure all students know how to stay safe.
Q5. Do students at Rancho Sienna El have a limit on how many library books they can check out?
Ans. Students can check out up to two books a week for fun reading and schoolwork.
