Western Hills Elementary is using programs that add extra days to the school year to help students stay on track for academic success. Students are encouraged to "do more, expect more, and be more" in a safe and interesting environment on campus. Teachers are focused on giving their students the best possible education that will get them ready for the challenges of middle school and beyond.
Q1. Does Western Hills El have a separate science lab for students to use for experiments?
Ans. The school has a science resource room where students can do hands-on experiments in life, earth, and physical science.
Q2. What are the rules for dropping off and picking up students at Western Hills El?
Ans. Parents must follow a certain traffic pattern in the front loop and show a school-issued sign to prove who they are.
Q3. Do students at Western Hills El have the chance to join a choir or music group?
Ans. Every week, students can take music classes, and those who want to can join the school choir to perform during the seasons.
Q4. Is Western Hills El a part of the National School Lunch Program?
Ans. Yes, the school offers breakfast and lunch options that are balanced and meet federal nutrition standards for all grades.
Q5. What does Western Hills El do to keep track of students' technology devices?
Ans. To help with digital learning and interactive academic assignments, each student gets their own device to use in class.
