The district's new "Everybody Grows" philosophy is helping Westcreek Elementary students do well. It encourages them to explore STEM and the arts. The school recently held successful parent-teacher conferences to celebrate what students had done well and set new goals for their growth. It is still a community center that focuses on the overall growth and health of every child.
Q1. Are there any academic clubs at Westcreek El that are competitive, like Chess or Robotics?
Ans. There is an after-school robotics club on campus where students work together to build and program simple machines.
Q2. How do I apply to be a volunteer at Westcreek El?
Ans. People who want to volunteer must fill out an application and get a criminal background check through the district safety portal.
Q3. Is there a school-wide program at Westcreek El to promote good behavior?
Ans. The school has a rewards system to encourage students to be safe, responsible, and respectful in all areas.
Q4. What does Westcreek El do to help students who have dyslexia?
Ans. Certified specialists give students specific reading help and accommodations to help them with phonological processing issues.
Q5. Does Westcreek El have a place to learn outside?
Ans. The campus has a courtyard garden where students can watch plants grow and do science experiments outside.
