Van Zandt-Guinn Elementary is putting into place a full Improvement Plan for the school year 2025–2026 to help students learn better. Principal Juanita White is still dedicated to creating a safe and welcoming space where every child is ready for success in kindergarten and beyond. The school is part of a district-wide effort to provide free, full-day Pre-K programs that let kids learn with their friends.
Q1. Does Van Zandt-Guinn El have any clubs after school that are only for certain students?
Ans. Students can join the school-wide chess team or the seasonal garden club to learn how to think critically and work well with others.
Q2. What are the rules for students' clothing at Van Zandt-Guinn El?
Ans. For daily attendance, the school follows district rules that say students must wear solid-colored polo shirts and khaki or navy blue pants.
Q3: Do families in the area have access to a full-day Pre-K program at Van Zandt-Guinn El?
Ans. To help kids grow and get ready for kindergarten, eligible students can sign up for a free, full-day Pre-K program.
Q4. What does Van Zandt-Guinn El do to keep track of students' medications during the school day?
Ans. Parents must give the campus nurse permission to store and give out all medications.
Q5. Are there any workshops at Van Zandt-Guinn El for parents to get involved?
Ans. Every month, parents can attend educational sessions on campus where they learn how to help their child improve their reading and math skills.
