Sunset Valley Elementary is still known in the Keller ISD district for being a welcoming and helpful place. The school recently made changes to how it runs every day to make sure that all families have a safe and smooth experience. Students still benefit from modern facilities and a curriculum that prepares them for success in the 21st century.
Q1. Is there a coding or robotics club at Sunset Valley El after school?
Ans. The campus has a robotics team that learns how to build and program simple machines for competitions in the local district.
Q2. What are the rules for visitors at the Sunset Valley El playground?
Ans. To keep students safe, only students and staff can use the playground during school hours.
Q3. Does Sunset Valley El have a program to improve reading and writing skills for all students?
Ans. The "SV Reads" program gives students different rewards for reaching milestones and encourages them to read for twenty minutes every day.
Q4. What does Sunset Valley El do to help students who have emotional needs?
Ans. The school has a "Zen Den" where students can go to practice mindfulness and calming techniques with the help of a counselor.
Q5. Is there a reward for good behavior at Sunset Valley El for everyone?
Ans. Students can earn "Valley Tokens" for being responsible and respectful. They can then trade these tokens for special privileges on campus.
