IDEA Edgecliff Academy is now taking applications for its K–8 tuition-free charter program for the 2025–2026 school year. The academy's mission is still "College for All." To help students get ready for college, it has a tough curriculum. A strong framework for social-emotional growth is built into daily lessons to help students feel better.
Q1. Is there a student-run leadership council at Idea Edgecliff Academy?
Ans. Students in higher grades can run for student council positions to help plan school events and speak for their classmates.
Q2. What are the rules about cell phones for students at Idea Edgecliff Academy?
Ans. To keep the classroom from being too noisy, cell phones and other mobile devices must stay off and in backpacks during class.
Q3. Does Idea Edgecliff Academy have a kindergarten program for kids who are about to start school?
Ans. The school has a special TK curriculum that helps kids get ready for kindergarten by filling in the gaps between preschool and kindergarten.
Q4. How does Idea Edgecliff Academy celebrate students' birthdays?
Ans. Teachers give students non-food rewards like special certificates or extra time in the classroom to celebrate milestones while keeping them healthy.
Q5. At Idea Edgecliff Academy, is there a limit on how many library books you can check out?
Ans. As long as students return their previous books in good condition, they can check out two new ones each week.
