This semester, Hazel Harvey Peace Elementary is using new ways of teaching to help students do well in school and get involved. The campus recently honored its 2025–2026 Teacher of the Year nominees, which showed how great they are in the classroom. The new FWISD bell schedule, which starts at 7:40 a.m., has been easy for staff and students to get used to. until 3:10 p.m.
Q1. Is there a student-led leadership council at Hazel Harvey Peace Elementary?
Ans. Upper-grade students can run for student council positions to help plan school events and speak for their classmates.
Q2. What are the rules for students' cell phones at Hazel Harvey Peace Elementary?
Ans. To keep the classroom from being too noisy, students must keep their phones and other mobile devices turned off and in their backpacks during the school day.
Q3. Does Hazel Harvey Peace Elementary have a kindergarten program for kids who are just starting school?
Ans. The school has a special TK curriculum that helps kids make the transition from preschool to regular kindergarten.
Q4. How does Hazel Harvey Peace Elementary School celebrate students' birthdays?
Ans. To celebrate milestones and keep students healthy, teachers give out non-food rewards like special certificates or extra privileges in the classroom.
Q5. How many books can you check out from the library at Hazel Harvey Peace Elementary?
Ans. As long as students return their previous books in good condition, they can check out two new ones each week.
