Alice Carlson Applied Learning Center was named one of the top public elementary schools in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for 2026. The school is currently taking part in the Kids Heart Challenge 2025–2026 to raise awareness for the American Heart Association and encourage kids to be active. After a successful literacy tour that showed off the school's unique applied learning curriculum, students and staff are also getting ready to end the year on a high note.

Ans. The school uses a hands-on, project-based method that lets students use what they've learned in real-life situations and on campus projects.
Q2. Is there an outdoor classroom at the Alice Carlson Applied Learning Center?
Ans. Throughout the school year, students use several outdoor learning spaces for science lessons, gardening projects, and group work.
Q3. What are the rules about uniforms at Alice Carlson Applied Learning Center?
Ans. Students must wear certain clothes to help everyone in all grades stay focused and work together.
Q4. What role do parents play at Alice Carlson Applied Learning Center?
Ans. Families are strongly encouraged to get involved by volunteering, joining school committees, and helping student groups with group projects.
Q5. Does the Alice Carlson Applied Learning Center have classes in the fine arts?
Ans. Visual arts and music are part of the daily curriculum to help students express themselves creatively in addition to learning traditional subjects.
