April 3, 2026 - April 10, 2026, Lakewood Elementary School recognizes its Assistant Principal Tiffany Swancy for the great leadership she has provided and the work she has put in to ensure that students are successful. This event recognizes the role she has played both in improving students’ performance and the school’s atmosphere.

Ans. Yes, we can provide you with extended day services through our own activities or through third-parties the district has sanctioned to assist families with childcare needs.
Q2. Is there any extracurricular activity available for students?
Ans. Students have many options, including music, art club, physical education and other academic support options, depending on the grade level.
Q3. How does the school communicate with parents?
Ans. We communicate via newsletters, emails, parent portals and conferences, among others; we want to ensure that parents know what's going on at school.
Q4. Can you get involved at school as a parent?
Ans. Yes, you can participate in volunteer programs, participate in PTA/PTO functions, attend events, or help out in your child's classroom if there are available opportunities.
Q5. What type of special education services are offered to students who learn differently?
Ans. Support services include counseling support, special education services and various interventions depending on the needs of each student..
