For the 2024-25 school year, Sunrise Mountain Elementary received a Purple Star Campus award from the Texas Education Agency as part of a record-breaking Purple Stars for the El Paso Independent School District. This award recognizes the school’s support for military-connected students and families through its transition programs and campus liaisons.
