The Lone Star Governance model is helping Lone Star High School South reach its academic goals through the 2025–2026 school year. It focuses on always getting better and reaching certain student outcomes. The school's curriculum now includes lessons that teach students how to use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills. This has led to a 52% drop in behavior referrals and made students and teachers feel like they are working together.
