Dallas ISD fourth-grader Cameron Kinder of Clara Oliver Elementary School won second place in the 34th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Oratory Competition at the Charles Wyly Theatre in downtown Dallas in January 2026. The event is one example of strong student public speaking skills being demonstrated at the participating campuses throughout the district. The event is an annual celebration of student voices on significant civic issues, as well as individual student achievement outside of classroom evaluations.
