Located in Corpus Christi, Zavala Elementary has had many academic and community-oriented programs this year, including participation in the CCISD Multimedia Fair Award Ceremony held in March 2026, where students presented their creative and digital projects. Other areas where Zavala has been working with parents are through STAAR information meetings to provide information about STAAR and how families can help their students prepare for the tests. Zavala is also part of the ongoing rezoning efforts that are associated with the Corpus Christi ISD’s 2026 consolidation plan. With the completion of the rezoning process, additional students will be entering Zavala, assisting with the school’s growth in terms of its relation to the local school system.
