On March 31, 2026, the official O.C. Taylor site carried a GCISD update reporting stronger midyear academic performance across the district. The post said the share of students performing on grade level or higher had risen by 21% in math and 16% in reading since the start of the year, while the number performing two or more grade levels below declined in both subjects. The district framed the results around individual student growth and instructional consistency across campuses.
