Being Updated
The growing charter network of BASIS Austin Primary continues to grow in presence in Austin. An exciting milestone is the establishment of another BASIS campus in Leander, which will serve over 1,400 students and is scheduled to open for the 2026–27 school year. The increased growth supports an increased demand for BASIS schools’ academic model, as well as supports BASIS’s continuing investment in advanced curriculum and future-ready learning experiences.
Q1. Does BASIS Austin Primary have a dress code or uniform policy?
Ans. Yes, the school has a strict dress code, and students must wear uniforms that follow the rules of the campus.
Q2. What happens to students after they finish grade 2?
Ans. Most students go on to BASIS Austin, where they move up to higher elementary and secondary grades in the same academic network.
Q3. Do you have to pay to go to this charter school?
Ans. There are no tuition fees for the BASIS Austin Primary school, but there may be extra costs for activities, field trips, or enrichment programs.
Q4. What kind of academic philosophy does the BASIS Austin Primary have?
Ans. The school puts a lot of emphasis on a structured, fast-paced curriculum that focuses on core subjects. Students start learning maths, reading, and critical thinking at a young age.
Q5. Do students get rides at BASIS Austin Primary?
Ans. There aren't many ways to get around, so many families hire someone to drop off and pick up their kids, but some regional shuttle services might be available.
