Chandler Elementary made district news in fall 2024 when 6th grade student Minha Kim earned third place in the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic Art Contest, a competitive district-wide event that drew entries from across Allen ISD's 24 campuses. The school's 51-teacher team continued its work under Principal Chelsea Abboud through the 2025-26 year. Allen ISD's 2024 bond election passed with voter approval for Propositions A and C, which will fund campus improvements across the district, including campuses like Chandler that were part of Allen ISD's early 2000s construction cycle.
