About Towpath Trail High School

Towpath Trail High School is a public high school in Akron, Ohio, for kids in grades 9 through 12. It's in the Akron Public Schools district and teaches in a different way than other schools. There are usually only 300 to 400 students at our school, so it's not very big. We keep the number of students to teachers at about 15:1. This means that each student gets more one-on-one time and we can really see how everyone is doing in school. USA News doesn't always show a lot of math and reading scores, it turns out. The school probably cares more about how students grow, getting more kids to come, and making sure they graduate on time. We use those resources to pay for things like counseling and intervention services. Kids take Ohio state tests, and some also take college entrance tests like the SAT or ACT through school programs. Towpath Trail High School is all about flexible learning, having staff who really care about you, and making sure everyone graduates strong.
