A major school-system development announced in early October concerns enhanced safety measures for all elementary schools. Wicomico County Public Schools (WCPS) conveyed that Prince Street Elementary has been identified as one of the institutions impacted by the district’s plan to expand weapons-detection systems. The initiative stems from ongoing efforts to improve school security and student protection in the wake of heightened concern
Q1. Are there programs that help students with their art?
Ans. Prince Street has special classes and events for the whole school that let students learn about and do music, performance, and visual arts.
Q2. What does the school do to help students who are having mental health problems?
The school helps students stay healthy by giving them access to counsellors, social-emotional learning programs, and activities that help them be mindful.
Q3. Is there a chance for peer mentoring or leadership at the school?
Answer. Yes, older students help younger students and take part in student leadership activities to encourage responsibility and building a sense of community.
Q4. Is it possible to improve the learn through outside the campus?
Ans. Prince Street has outdoor learning activities like nature walks, science observations, and gardening at school to help students connect with the world around them.
Q5. How can the families help their kids learn at school?
The school has family nights, workshops, and chances for parents to volunteer to get them involved and help their kids do well.
