Rockville, Maryland's Bayard Rustin Elementary School is a public magnet school for kids in pre-K through 5th grade. The school has about 787 students, and the student-to-teacher ratio is 14:1. This means that each student gets one-on-one help and attention. Bayard Rustin Elementary School is all about strong academics and programs that help students think critically and work together. These programs include learning through projects, STEM activities, and combining the arts with other subjects. There are many different kinds of students at the school, and about 76% of them are from groups that are not represented in the majority. This is like how different cultures are in the Rockville community as a whole. More than half of the students 51% scored at or above proficiency in math, and more than half 53% scored at or above proficiency in reading. The school is better off being part of the Montgomery County Public Schools system because it gives students access to modern facilities and learning materials. Bayard Rustin Elementary is in a nice neighborhood for families, and it helps make the school a friendly place to be. It has good things about it, like a lot of different people, a lot of programs, and community involvement. It is still working to get better grades, this makes it the best school in Maryland.
