Being Updated
One of the biggest recent developments is that the Alta Vista Elementary School will be reimagined into a full K–8 campus over the next few years. Expansion timeline: 6th grade added in 2026–2027, 7th grade in 2027–2028, 8th grade in 2028–2029. This is highly positive because K–8 models: Provide greater academic continuity, Reduce transition stress between schools and Improve student engagement and long-term performance. The school was awarded a $50,000 STEM Classroom Makeover Grant from Florida Power & Light. This investment supports: Modern, hands-on science and technology learning, Enhanced classroom resources and innovation, Better preparation for future STEM careers

A. To meet the needs of different students, teachers use different teaching methods and differentiated instruction.

Ans. Students can learn how to be leaders by doing things like taking on classroom duties and participating in school activities.

Ans. Group projects and activities where students learn from each other help them work well together.

A. Students can handle their work better when they have structured routines and help from their teachers.
