A major highlight of Tanglewood Elementary School is that Principal Linda Buckley was named the 2026 Principal of the Year for the School District of Lee County. The award recognizes her leadership in building a school culture focused on growth, empowerment, and unity. This is a significant achievement, as it reflects: Strong school leadership, Positive campus culture, Consistent academic and organizational improvement. Students at Tanglewood Elementary recently participated in interactive learning sessions with the Lee County Mosquito Control District, gaining real-world insights into environmental science. This highlights: Practical, experiential STEM education and Engagement beyond traditional classroom teaching
