About Cape Elementary School

Established in Cape Coral in 1964, Cape Elementary has been serving its community for many decades. Spearhead of the city's education system, it is the first pubic school established in Cape Coral. Cape Elementary serves approximately 707 students from Pre-K through 5th grade while maintaining a student-teacher ratio of 18:1.

On average, 75% of 3rd to 5th grade students are proficient in math and 68% are proficient in reading; these averages are both higher than the Florida mean. This emphasis on positive behavior and climate is beneficial to school community. The student population is comprised of White, Hispanic, multiracial, and several other backgrounds.
