Ukiah, a small city in Northern California, sits roughly 115 miles north of San Francisco, right along U.S. Route 101. Spanning about 4.7 square miles, the city is home to roughly 15,500 people. It is the commercial and governmental hub for the surrounding Russian River Valley. Even with this regional significance, Ukiah still feels like a small town. The Ukiah Unified School District (UUSD) handles public education, catering to more than 6,000 students.
