Hialeah sits in Miami-Dade County and has a population of a little over 220,000 residents. The city lies just northwest of Miami and is widely known for its Cuban-American heritage, busy shopping areas, and long-established neighborhoods. Most public schools operate under Miami-Dade County Public Schools, one of the largest districts in the country. Charter and private campuses are also present in Hialeah, giving families additional middle school choices.Students in Hialeah middle schools spend much of their time building skills in subjects such as math, reading, science, and social studies.
