The 2025–2026 school year is off to a great start at Bluefield High School. The team came in second place in the 2025 West Virginia Academic Showdown, which earned them a $800 grant for future competitions. The school has also added more chances to learn by doing. For instance, seniors can get elective credit for taking part in new professional internship programs, and the school will hold a science fair for all students in the winter of 2026.
