About Academy of Technology Design

The Academy of Technology Design is a public high school in Jersey City, New Jersey, that is open to students in grades 9 through 12. It is one of four high schools in the Hudson County Schools of Technology School District. There are about 200 students at the school, and there are 48 to 51 students for every teacher. This means that the school is small and focused on helping students get jobs. Its academic approach focuses on core subjects as well as technology, design, and applied skills, which helps with project-based and career-ready teaching. About 81% of the students are from minority groups, and about 43% of them economically disadvantaged. It is said that 54% of people will be able to read well in 2025–2026. The SAT and ACT are two tests that help the school get students ready for college and other forms of higher education. The district spends more on each student than the national average, which helps pay for teaching materials and technology. The Academy of Technology Design is a diverse, career-focused school that promises to prepare students well for both academic and technical work.
