In 2025, New Jersey had an overall #1 education ranking as measured by the U.S. News & World Report, and is home to the best public high schools in the United States. Public high schools in NJ rank first in college readiness, SAT/ACT performance, and AP access, and have a strong funding base, no safety incidents, and excellent traditional and magnet schools that improve the ability of the state to provide an excellent education to all students. Additionally, the state has extensive, transparent data systems that have shown an increase in the graduation rates of the state.
