In January 2026, Linganore High School's academic team got off to a great start by winning the first round of the county-wide academic tournament. The school is also putting on the "Safe & Sane" graduation party for the Class of 2026. Local businesses are sponsoring tournaments and giving out scholarships. Students are also doing well in the performing arts. Several music groups are getting ready for the upcoming All-County Music Festival after doing well in regional evaluations.
