Savannah Arts Academy captured the GHSA Class 2A boys soccer state championship in May 2026. It was the first state championship title in the history of the school in Savannah by a boys athletic program. The team earned the title through playoff competition in the Georgia High School Association Class 2A division. The championship was a landmark achievement for the school’s athletic program and boys sports participation.
Q1. How is Savannah Arts Academy different from most public high schools?
Ans. Savannah Arts Academy is an SCCPSS visual and performing arts choice school. Students audition as part of admission and study arts concentrations as well as college-prep academics.
Q2. Do students choose a particular arts area at Savannah Arts Academy?
Ans. Yes. Students take their academic courses while auditioning and training in a discipline such as theatre, dance, music, visual arts or creative writing.
Q3. Is Savannah Arts Academy an arts-only school?
Ans. No. The AP and honors courses remain a significant piece of the curriculum, giving students the chance to balance their artistic training with college preparation.
Q4. What will campus life be like?
Ans. The school calendar is dotted with rehearsals, exhibitions, performances and arts showcases, giving students regular opportunities to showcase their work.
