About Columbus High School

Columbus High School is a public magnet school for students in grades 9 through 12. It is in Columbus, Georgia, and is part of the Muscogee County School District. There are about 1,100 to 1,300 students at our school. We make sure that there are about 18 students for every teacher. There are a lot of choices there, including AP classes, honors programs, STEM classes, arts classes, and all the college prep you could want. People from all over the district come here to be part of our community, and they all take their studies very seriously. About 61% of students are good at math and 86% can read well. Like any other school, we get our money from the state and district budgets in Georgia because we are a public magnet school. It's nice that we get a little extra money to really help our advanced smart classes and arts programs. Kids in Georgia take state tests all the time, and they can also take the SAT and ACT, which are tests for getting into college.
