Recently, Oak Ridge HS improved its digital media and technology labs to make room for new computer science and graphic design certificate programs. The school's "Pioneers" sports teams have done very well in regional competitions, which shows that they are very dedicated to both sportsmanship and being able to play. This year, the school is also starting a new peer-mentorship program to help new students make the transition to HS by giving them academic and social support.
