The Cherokee Trail High School performing arts department recently took first place in the 2026 regional music evaluations. Several groups of musicians also made it to state-level competitions. The school has also started a new interdisciplinary STEM program that lets students work on harder engineering projects in the new fabrication lab. The varsity athletics program is also having a good winter season. Several student-athletes have already qualified for the state championship meets in swimming and wrestling.
