Virgil Grissom High School keeps up its tradition of academic excellence by sending more students than ever to the prestigious Alabama All-State Band and Orchestra. The school's debate and speech team also recently won a multi-state tournament, which qualified several members for the national circuit. The athletic department is also celebrating a great season for the swim and dive teams, during which many athletes set new personal and school records.
Q1. What kinds of academic honors does Grissom High School give out?
Ans. Students in school can get the AP Capstone Diploma, which shows that they are good at research, working with others, and talking to people.
Q2. Does the school give the SAT and ACT tests?
Ans. The SAT and ACT are held at Grissom often, which makes it easy for students to take the tests close to home.
Q3. What kinds of music classes are there?
Ans. The school has nationally recognized band and orchestra programs that give students the chance to perform at a very high level.

Ans. School kids can learn more about the world by choosing from a number of languages, such as Mandarin and German.
