Oak Mountain High School recently celebrated the fact that several of its students were chosen as finalists in the National Merit Scholarship Program. This shows that the school has high academic standards. The fine arts department at the school is getting ready for a joint showcase that will include both digital media and traditional orchestral performances. The athletic stadium on campus has also been improved recently, with the addition of a new high-definition scoreboard.
