Heartland Elementary Principal Buddy Alger was named 2025 Jordan School District Principal of the Year, recognized for his warm, relationship-driven leadership and his focus on belonging and community. And in a strong show of community spirit, a local fundraiser raised $12,050 to help erase lunch debt for Heartland students — an effort the school celebrated as a win for both families and school culture.

Ans. Heartland Elementary gives students digital devices, reading materials, and hands-on tools to help them learn in different ways.
Q2. Does the school offer extra help with schoolwork when needed?
Ans. Teachers can help students who need extra help by putting them in intervention groups, giving them targeted instruction blocks, or tutoring them.

Ans. The school has literacy nights, parties, and classroom events that parents and guardians can come to.

Ans. A respectful and safe learning environment can be kept up with reinforcement systems, positive messaging, and schoolwide expectations.

Ans. Yes, students do art, writing, and hands-on projects that let them be creative.
